Bang in the midst of the latest autumn winter collections,glitzy restaurants and fancy makeup stores,Wingreens (below) stands out as a most unusual kiosk for Select Citywalk. It sells a variety of potted herbs and other oxygen generating plants,some in imaginative,dainty flowerpots. Aromas of mint and lavender float around as chief coordinator Vishaka Tikku rubs a fresh oregano leaf. These herbs are used in cooking Italian and even Indian food, says Tikku. The kiosk stocks everthing from Asian basil and oregano to stevia,lemon tulsi and peppermint. Ornamental yet useful,stevia,says Tikku,is a zero calorie natural sweetener. The herbs cost Rs 200 per pot while the indoor plants that include Philodendron,Jade Plants and Orchids ,purely ornamental,are priced at Rs 350 upwards.
