Objectionable video of man inside Delhi Metro: Police file FIR
Earlier in the day, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) issued a notice to the Delhi Police over the video.

After a purported video of a man allegedly masturbating inside a Delhi Metro train went viral on social media, Delhi Police Friday said it has reigstered an FIR under IPC Section 294, which pertains to an obscene act commited in public, and added that the man is yet to be traced.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), meanwhile, has asked commuters to conduct themselves responsibly.
Earlier in the day, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) issued a notice to the Delhi Police over the video.
DCW chief Swati Maliwal tweeted, “A man can be seen in a viral video shamelessly masturbating in Delhi Metro. It is absolutely disgusting and sickening. The accused must be arrested and strict action should be taken in the matter… More and more such cases are coming to light in the Delhi Metro and exemplary action needs to be taken against such persons so that women safety is ensured in the Metro.”
The DMRC in a statement on Twitter said it will deploy more flying squads near Metros.
“We request commuters to conduct themselves responsibly while traveling by the Metro. If the other commuters notice any objectionable behaviour, they should report immediately the matter on the DMRC Helpline detailing the corridor, station, time etc… DMRC will intensify the number of flying squads comprising of Metro and Security staff to monitor such behaviour and necessary action under relevant provisions of law shall be taken…,” it said.
