Don’t hike room tariffs during International Trade Fair: Admin to top hotels in Gautam Buddha Nagar

Apart from with the hotel representatives and officials of India Expo Mart, City Magistrate Dharmendra Singh was also present in the meeting. The managers of 4-star and 5-star hotels have been directed not to increase the room tariffs during the International Trade Fair scheduled from September 21 to 25 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has also asked the hotels to provide their rate chart within two days.
Presiding over the meeting on Wednesday with officials of the India Expo Mart and managers of the district’s 4-star and 5-star hotels, the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Dr Nitin Madan said the International Trade Fair is an important event in which people from across the world will take part and their accommodation will be arranged in suites of these 4 to 5 star hotels.
“That is why the hotel managers of the district must provide the capacity, rate list with discount, of their respective hotels within two days,” said the ADM.
He also called upon the hotel managers not to increase the room tariffs unnecessarily and the tariff chart should be prepared and made available according to the normal hotel rates. “If any hotel charges more than the prescribed rate, strict action will be taken against the concerned hotel as per the rules,” Dr Madan said.
