Noida: mediaman abducted,robbed of cash,ATM card; over Rs 1 lakh gone

A mediaperson was abducted on his way home and robbed of around Rs 1 lakh in Gautam Budh Nagar on Thursday night. The incident happened near Pari Chowk late. The victim,Saras Sankrityayan,is a resident of Jalvayu Vihar,Greater Noida. “Saras got off the bus at Jagat Farms. According to the police,he took a lift from a motorcycle and got dropped near Pari Chowk. “As he started walking towards his home,a few men in a car stopped near him,and on the pretext of asking an address,shoved him in. They took Rs 2,500 from his purse and used his debit cards to take out Rs 1 lakh from various ATMs in Greater Noida. They later dropped him off at 1 am,” Surendra Verma,SP (Rural),said. Meanwhile,a case has been lodged in Kasna police station.
