Mother Dairy hikes fresh milk prices by Rs 2/litre
The price rise will have implications in Delhi-NCR region, where Mother Dairy sells about 35 lakh litres of fresh milk per day.

Mother Diary Monday increased the prices of fresh milk across all operating markets in India by Rs 2 per litre, citing increasing production costs. The revised prices will be effective from Monday, June 3, 2024.
With the fresh hike, buffalo and cow milk prices stand at Rs 72 and Rs 58 per litre, respectively, while token milk will be sold at Rs 54 per litre.
The decision to increase the price for the consumers was taken to compensate the increased production costs which has been on the rise for a year, Mother Dairy stated in a press release. Milk production has been affected as a result of increasing heat stress.

Amul, on Sunday, too increased the prices of fresh pouch milk by Rs 2 per litre across the country.
The consumer price of Mother Dairy liquid milk products had not been revised since February 2023 despite high milk procurement price for a year.
