“Presently, this line has a peak frequency of 2 minutes,38 seconds, which is the highest among all lines. Twenty-seven eight coach trains are operated during morning peak hours such that Rajiv Chowk station gets two eight-coach trains out of every three trains that stop at the station,” an official said.

Two trips will also be started on September 9,from Kashmere Gate to Gurgaon,to ease the passenger traffic.

Officials said on lines three and four — the Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida City Centre line and Dwarka to Vaishali lines — 29 eight-coach trains were being inducted.

“From Monday, two additional trains will be inducted during peak time, one from Janakpuri West to Vaishali and one from Noida Sector-16 to Dwarka Sector-21 to handle the peak- hour passenger rush,” a senior official said.
