Man killed by kin of girlfriend in Jafrabad, video surfaces

A day after a man, 25, was stabbed to death allegedly by the kin of his girlfriend, a purported video of the incident has emerged on social media.

In the video, the victim is purportedly seen riding a bike with two others when one of the accused stops the two-wheeler and starts attacking him. The accused is then seen pulling out a sharp weapon and stabbing the victim even as the duo accompanying the latter flees the spot. The video goes on to show two other attackers stabbing the victim.

The incident took place Monday in Jafrabad’s Chauhan Banger. The man, Salman, was stabbed in the neck and the chest. He died on the spot.

“Inquiry revealed Salman was in a relationship with a woman whose family asked her to stay away from him,” said a police officer. “We found that the woman’s father Manzoor and her brothers attacked Salman on Monday while he was going to a gym with his two friends,” added the officer.
