Man hurt in clash over parking space

An argument over parking left one person injured in Gurgaon on Sunday evening.

An argument over parking left one person injured in Gurgaon on Sunday evening. Around 6.45 pm Subroto Chakroborty,a resident of Mayfill Garden in Sector-32,parked his car outside the make-shift fish market near Bristol Hotel.

According to the investigating officer DLF Phase-I police station,one Chandra Bhan objected to the way Chakroborty had parked his car. “When Bhan asked Chakroborty to remove his car,he refused. Soon an argument broke out and Bhan hit Chakroborty on the head with a stone.”

Recounting the incident Chakroborty said: “I went to the fish market with my wife and daughter last evening. I parked my car on the roadside where a bunch of youngsters were drinking. We went inside and while my wife and daughter were still inside,I came out to keep something in the car. Meanwhile,one of the drunk person approached me and asked me to remove my car. I told them that I was about to leave soon when another person charged at me with a stone and hit me on the head. Then one of them also threatened to kill me.”

“I was so scared that I sat in my car and sped away and they chased me. I later called 100 and informed the police,” Chakroborty added.

Chakroborty escaped with minor injuries on the forehead,said the police,who have registered a case under sections 323 and 506 of the IPC.
