Lok Sabha elections: PM Modi’s road show in Ghaziabad today, traffic curbs from 1 pm

PM Modi’s road show will begin at 4 pm from Maliwada Chowk to Chaudhary Mod as part of BJP’s campaign in western Uttar Pradesh constituencies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a road show in Ghaziabad on Saturday, April 6 – which also marks the foundation day of the BJP – as part of Lok Sabha election campaigning in western Uttar Pradesh. The road show will begin at 4 pm from Maliwada Chowk to Chaudhary Mod at Ambedkar Road.

Officials said that traffic diversion will be in place from 1 pm at multiple locations and will continue till the programme concludes.

According to the Ghaziabad traffic police, movement of heavy and commercial vehicles will be restricted from 1 pm on different routes: Lal Kuan/Sajan Mod to Chaudhary Mod, Vasundhara Bridge to Mohan Nagar, Atmaram Steel Tiraha to Diamond Tiraha, Tulsi Niketan to Karangate Roundabout, ALT intersection to Meerut Tiraha, Seemapuri to Mahan Nagar and Jal Nigam T-Point to Meerut Tiraha.

Similarly, movement of private vehicles and public transport buses will be restricted from 2 pm on routes such as Anand Vihar to Mohan Nagar, Seemapuri to Mohan Nagar, Loni/Tulsi Niketan to Karangate Roundabout, ALT to Meerut Tiraha, Dasna Bridge to Hapur Chungi, Lal Kuan to Chaudhary Mod and Jal Nigam T-Point to Meerut Tiraha.

Officials said that private two-wheeler/four wheeler vehicles will be restricted from 3 pm on Rakesh Marg to Chaudhary Mod, Lohia Nagar Tiraha to Old Bus Stand, RDC Bridge Hapur Chungi Side to Old Bus Stand, Sihani Gate Police Station to Old Bus Stand, Ghukna Mod to Meerut Tiraha, Siddharth Vihar Intersection to Meerut Tiraha, Basant Chowk to Maliwada Chowk, Ramte Ram Road to Maliwada Chowk/Chaudhary Mod/Ghantaghar, Gowshala to Dudheshwar Temple, Vijaynagar Dhobi Ghat Railway Bridge to Chaudhary Mod, Meerut Tiraha U-turn to Hapur Tiraha, Nandgram Tiraha to Meerut Tiraha and Rotary Roundabout to Hindon River Metro Station.

Autorickshaws and e-rickshaw will be restricted at multiple paths such as Lal Kuan to Mohan Nagar, Ghukna Mod to Chaudhary Mod, Hapur Chungi to Old Bus Stand, ALT to Meerut Tiraha etc from 3 pm.
