The police suspect that the firearms used in the murder of Nadir Shah were supplied with the help of Malik, who was in the US at the time. Malik, a resident of Jind in Haryana, has been living in the US for the past several years.

His name has also surfaced in connection with the firing incidents outside Bollywood singer Badshah’s clubs in Chandigarh and Gurgaon. The NIA has chargesheeted him, along with Goldy Brar, a former aide of Lawrence, in connection with one of the firing cases outside a club.

In July and August, these gangs allegedly opened fire outside a club owned by Indian comedian Kapil Sharma in Canada. Before this, members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang were found to be involved in several firing incidents outside the properties of rival gang members and celebrities in Canada.
