The Delhi Lieutenant Governor (L-G) has transferred alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s complaint on “threat calls from associates of the Delhi CM” to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for further necessary action, officials said on Wednesday.
In his complaint, Chandrashekhar has claimed that certain persons, who claimed to be speaking on behalf of CM Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi Home Minister Satyendar Jain, had threatened him with consequences if he did not retract his statements against the two AAP leaders.
On July 8, through his advocate Anant Malik, Chandrashekhar also requested L-G VK Saxena to get him and his wife Leena Paulose transferred out of Delhi to any jail, which is “not under the control of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)”. The duo is presently lodged in Mandoli jail.
The L-G secretariat forwarded the complaint to the Home Department of the Delhi government for further necessary action; the Home Department, in turn, recommended that the same be sent to the MHA.
