JNU row: Student claims denied fellowship after suspension

Raj is a first year PhD student in the Centre for Indian Languages.

JNU student Shweta Raj, a member of the All India Students’ Association (AISA), Friday alleged that the university administration has refused to accept her non-NET fellowship form on the grounds that she could not be granted a fellowship as she was suspended. Raj is a first year PhD student in the Centre for Indian Languages.

Raj was one of the eight students suspended on the basis of a report by a varsity probe panel about their alleged involvement in the February 9 event on campus where “anti-national” slogans were allegedly raised.
