Metro coaches for the high-speed Airport Metro Express Line,to open before the Commonwealth Games,will soon arrive in the Capital and be put on the tracks for testing. The first lot of coaches has arrived at the Mundra Port in Gujarat from Spain and is on way to the Capital. The rake will reach Delhi in 2-3 days. Once it reaches the depot,static tests will be done for the next 4-5 days. The train will then be put on test track. Thereafter,the coaches would be out to the mainline where low-speed and high-speed test would be carried out,followed by oscillation trials. The entire process will take nearly three months, an official spokesperson of Delhi Airport Metro Express Pvt Ltd said. The Airport Express Line is first in the country to come up on public private partnership model between the Delhi Metro and Reliance Infrastructure.
