The winter chill gripped the Capital on Sunday with the minimum temperature plunging three degrees below normal to settle at 5 degrees Celsius. The maximum was recorded at 21.8 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman,however,predicted slight relief for the next two days as the minimum temperature is expected to go up to 6 degrees and the maximum to 22 and 23 degrees,respectively,on Monday and Tuesday.
On Sunday,parts of the NCR experienced a colder day with Gurgaon seeing a minimum of 1.8 degrees Celsius,Pusa Road was 3.1 degrees,Narela 3.6 degrees and Lodhi Road at 4.8 degrees Celsius. The Ridge area,Delhi University,Pitampura and Indirapuram in Noida were better off with minimum temperature remaining well above 7.5 degrees.
