Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad, J Ravinder Goud, has suspended eight policemen after receiving adverse feedback of their performance, officers said on Saturday.
The suspension, officers added, was followed by the establishment of a dedicated feedback cell and complaint control room at the Commissionerate.
“The unit was set up to record citizens’ experiences with police services and promptly act on reports of misconduct,” read an official statement. The latest action, officers said, stems from a series of complaints registered on September 18, highlighting instances of bribery, misconduct, and dereliction of duty.
Police said these officers were accused of misbehaviour, irregularities in performance, and corrupt practices.
