In view of the G20 Summit in Delhi, Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav has advised all corporate offices and private institutions in the district to “guide their employees” to work from home on Friday.

The advisory stated, “…in wake of G-20 Summit in Delhi, traffic will be regulated on NH-48 on September 8, 2023, which might result in occasional traffic congestion on the roads of Gurgaon city. Accordingly, there is a need to exercise caution and minimize travel so that traffic congestion can be avoided. In consideration of the aforementioned facts, all corporate offices and private institutions in the district are advised to guide their employees to Work from Home tomorrow i.e. on 8th September 2023.”

Last week, DCP (Traffic) had said that he would appeal to the DC to issue an advisory to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.

District administration officials said that a number of delegates for the G20 Summit would be staying in Gurgaon.
