(File) To enhance convenience for the general public, as well as for the police personnel and other assisting agencies responsible for ensuring security, maintaining law and order, and managing traffic during the upcoming G-20 Summit in the national capital, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has put forth several guidelines for their operations and passengers.
The Delhi Metro will commence its train services at 4 am from the terminal stations of all lines for a period of three days, from September 8 to September 10. During this time, the Metro will operate with a frequency of 30 minutes across all lines until 6 am. Subsequently, after 6 am, Metro services will follow their regular timetables for the rest of the day on all lines.
During this period, all Metro stations will be accessible to the general public, except for the Supreme Court Metro Station. Boarding and deboarding of passengers will not be permitted at the Supreme Court Metro Station due to security restrictions on September 9 and 10.
Furthermore, as per directives from security agencies, there may be temporary regulations for entry and exit at certain stations within the New Delhi district on September 9 and 10. These measures will be put in place to facilitate the smooth movement of VVIP delegations.
Parking facilities at all Metro stations will remain accessible as usual, with the exception of three Metro stations located within the New Delhi district. Parking services at Supreme Court, Patel Chowk, and Rama Krishna Ashram Marg stations will be unavailable from 4 am on September 8 till 12 pm on September 11.
The DMRC has requested its passengers to cooperate with the guidelines issued by the authorities and not fall prey to rumours.
