They posted attractive advertisements on the Internet inviting people to get customised body massages and cheated many customers of their money. However,their luck ran out after one such customer filed a police complaint,which led to the arrest of four members of the gang. The arrested were identified as Vicky Grover (26),Rinky Chabbra (21),Swimmi (22) and Pooja Sharma (20). According to police,when customers contacted them after seeing their ads,they would be offered massage packages and the services of a masseuse of their choice. Once the customer selects the girl and the massage oil,he would be asked to pay in advance. The customer would be asked to come to a hotel room booked by the agent. He would reach the hotel only to realise that he had been duped,police said. Nand Kishore,the complainant,saw the advertisement online and called the number which flashed on the screen. He spoke to one Vicky who asked him to come to Nehru Place and select the girl and the oil for massage. He then called again and asked Kishore to come to Connaught Place instead, a police officer said. Kishore told police that three women and two men were waiting in a car in CP. Vicky asked him to select a girl. Vicky then gave him the name of a hotel and asked him to come there that evening. Kishore was also made to pay Rs 3,000 in advance. When Kishore reached the hotel,he found that no booking had been made,police said. He then approached police with a complaint. In order to nab the gang,a police officer,posing as a customer,sent a message to cell number posted online. The officer struck a deal with one Vivek. He was asked to come to Nehru Place to choose the girl and oil for massage. We then conducted a search in their place in Nehru Place and arrested the four. We are trying to ascertain how many have been cheated this way, the officer said.
