Delhi’s minimum temperature dropped to lowest in 10 days on Monday
According to IMD, a generally cloudy sky with light rain is expected in Delhi on Tuesday.

The minimum temperature in Delhi dropped to the lowest in 10 days on Monday as rain lashed parts of the city and the National Capital Region (NCR) causing water logging and tree felling in several areas. The India Meteorological Department sounded a yellow alert (be aware) in the city on Monday.
The maximum temperature was three notches below normal on Monday at 31.6 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature dropped to the lowest in 10 days as it remained two notches below normal at 24.8 degree Celsius.
The relative humidity remained high in the city as it oscillated between 97 per cent and 100 per cent. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was 56 and in the ‘satisfactory category’ in Delhi.
A generally cloudy sky with light rain is expected on Tuesday and there is no warning for Delhi-NCR for the day, according to the IMD’s seven-day forecast.
On Monday, the maximum rainfall was recorded in Najafgarh with 31.5 mm from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm. Other stations including the Safdarjung base station logged 13 mm, Palam 10.8 mm, Lodi Road 13.9 mm, Ridge 1.2 mm, Ayanagar 9.4 mm, Delhi University 0.5 mm, Pusa 4.5mm, Narela 7.5 mm, and Pitampura and SPS Mayur Vihar both 0.5 mm of rainfall.
According to officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the central control room received 16 complaints of water logging and instances of tree falling. The water logging complaints were from Rohini, Uttam Nagar, Mayapuri, Jhilmil Colony, Jain Nagar, Mundka, Greater Kailash, Najafgarh, Extended Lal Dora, Pul Mithai, Kamla Market, Old Gupta Colony, and Nangloi. The locations of tree felling were in Okhla, Rohini, Pitampura, Uttam Nagar, Sultanpuri, Jasola, New Friends Colony, Lodi Colony, Sector 6 Dwarka, Hari Vihar, Ashok Vihar, Gokalpuri, and West Patel Nagar.
While the Delhi traffic police issued a traffic advisory due to water logging at Mundka, there were alerts for M B Road and near Qutub Minar Metro Station.
