Former Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP for “conspiring against him and his party leaders”. Addressing the Delhi Legislative Assembly, he said, “BJP wanted to show Kejriwal is dishonest and stop all works in Delhi… They put me and all the other leaders in jail…All their conspiracies have failed.” Further attacking PM Modi, Kejriwal said, “They made the rule that leaders aged 75 will retire… But he says that rule does not apply to him.”

In other news, the Supreme Court will hear a plea against the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) over felling of trees. In June this year, the apex court had quizzed the DDA and asked if the Lieutenant Governor, the Chairman of the Authority, had anything to do with it. The petitioner had sought initiation of court proceedings against the DDA VC for allegedly not taking the court’s prior permission for tree felling.
