Delhi News highlights: PWD minister Atishi Sunday wrote to L-G VK Saxena, alleging he had “grossly overstepped the limited jurisdiction conferred” to his office. This comes after the L-G Secretariat wrote to Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, directing him to take custody of government records and initiate a probe in the matter of public expenditure in reconstructing the Delhi Chief Minister’s house. Meanwhile, following the Delhi High Court order on demolishing the houses near Tughlaqabad Fort, MCD and ASI officials reached the area and removed 'illegal structures.' Delhi Police have heightened security in the the area as houses are being razed. In other news, a Delhi court has convicted AAP MLA Abdul Rehman for criminally intimidating and assaulting a government school principal in 2009. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal also convicted the MLA’s wife Asma in the case, saying the prosecution successfully proved its case, beyond reasonable doubts. According to the prosecution, the complainant was slapped by Asma on February 4, 2009 while she was working as principal of SKV School, Jafrabad, Delhi.
