A 26-year-old man was allegedly thrashed, sexually assaulted and robbed by bouncers outside a café in East Delhi. The police said the fight started over a food bill and the accused allegedly took the customer to an isolated spot, sexually assaulted him and recorded the incident on camera.
The victim alleged the accused also blackmailed him and dropped him outside a college. As per the Delhi Police, the incident took place on July 27. They received a call from the Hedgewar hospital about a man brought injured to the hospital, and he was unfit for recording a statement. The victim, who works in the corporate gifting market, told the police that on the day of the incident, he was out on a date with a woman he met on a dating app.
“They met at a metro station, and the woman asked him to take her to a café. When the food bill came, the victim raised an issue over some mistake in the bill, and a fight broke out at the café. The bill was around Rs 2,600. The management then called bouncers who thrashed the man,” said a senior police officer.
The victim, in the presence of doctors and the police, recorded a statement alleging that after the fight at the café, the accused took him to an isolated space and sexually assaulted him. He alleged that they even filmed the act. “They tried extorting him and told him not to tell anyone anything, or else they would leak the video,” added the officer.
The police found that the accused also robbed the victim’s car keys, mobile phone and cash worth Rs 8,000. They allegedly dumped him outside a college and returned his car keys and mobile.
“We conducted a medical examination of the victim. Based on the investigation, we have arrested three men, including the café owner,” said another officer.
Sources said the police also questioned the woman he was out with and are investigating the matter from all angles. They said they are trying to ascertain the sequence of events and verify statements of suspects and accused.
The police also seized the electronic devices of the accused and will look for the objectionable video stated
