Delhi Govt releases Rs 100 crore for 12 fully-funded DU colleges
“Ever since the government led by Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal came to power in Delhi, the education sector has been given the largest share in the budget every year,” said Atishi.

The Delhi Government has released Rs 100 crore for the 12 Delhi University colleges it funds, Education Minister Atishi announced on Wednesday.
“Ever since the government led by Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal came to power in Delhi, the education sector has been given the largest share in the budget every year,” said Atishi.
She added that there are several universities in Delhi included in the higher education system of the Delhi government, including Ambedkar University, DTU, NSUT, DSEU, etc.
“In the financial year 2023-24, an amount of Rs 400 crores has been allocated by the government. Out of this, the first quarter of Rs 100 crores is being released today. It is the vision of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal to provide access to quality higher education to every child in Delhi. To ensure the same the fund of these 12 colleges is being increased by the government every year,” she added
Govt funds allocated to 12 fully-funded DU colleges:
2014-2015: Rs 132 crore
2015-2016: Rs 147 crore
2016-2017: Rs 156 crore
2017-2018: Rs 171 crore
2018-2019: Rs 213 crore
2020-2021: Rs 265 crore
2022-2023: Rs 361 crore
