Indicating its intent to expedite the hearing on the death sentence reference for the four convicts in the December 16 gangrape case,the Delhi High Court on Monday issued production warrants for the four men convicted and sentenced to death for the murder and gangrape of a 23-year-old paramedical student on December 16 last year. The division bench of Justices Reva Khetrapal and Pratibha Rani directed Tihar Jail authorities to produce Mukesh (26),Akshay Thakur (28),Pawan Gupta (19) and Vinay Sharma (20) on Tuesday for hearing on the death sentence confirmation reference sent before the High Court by the trial court. 27-year-old man held for rape in Manesar A 27-year-old man was arrested on the charge of raping his colleague during an office party in a resort in Manesar on Sunday. According to police,the 22-year-old girl was a part of a 50-member office group that had organised a party at a popular club in Manesar. The office had booked rooms for the employees as the party was held over the weekend. The girl told police that she returned to her room around 1 am. The accused allegedly followed her,forcibly entered her room and raped her. Veer Singh,ACP (Manesar) said: The girl told her father about the incident after which the resort management was informed. The resort then reported the matter to police. Six men held for dacoity in Narela The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested six persons on charges of dacoity in Outer Delhis Narela area. Police said the accused persons carried out a robbery in a factory and injured six employees,police said. The accused have been identified as Devender (25),Om Pal (32),Satya Prakash (38),Qamaruddin (38),Vijay Pal (35) and Vicky (40). According to DCP,Special Cell,Sanjeev Kumar Yadav,eight men armed with firearms,iron rods,knives and lathis forcibly entered a factory in Narela Industrial Area,and carried out a robbery. One country-made pistol,one live cartridge and one mobile phone were recovered from the possession, an officer said.
