“At CRY, the goal is to make STEM education accessible to every child, ensuring that no one is left behind… As India rejoices in the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3, this achievement is also a testament to the dedication of numerous scientists, engineers and experts who honed their skills through years of STEM education” said the NGO’s official website added/

It further said “So many future Ramanujans and Vikram Sarabhai are hidden among our children just waiting for the right opportunity to realise their potential, skills and dreams. That is why CRY has started STEM centres to give underprivileged children in India the chance to be ready for 21st century skills and jobs..”

The DoE has now urged the respective heads of the institutions to grant permission for setting up the STEM centres in their schools. Further, it has said that it will not allow any foreign funding in the project without its prior approval.

The DoE has granted permission on the conditions that the schools working should not be disrupted, privacy of the students should not be affected in the process of the project and the safety and security of the students should be ensured.
