A Delhi Police constable was arrested on Saturday on charges of raping an Class VIII student in Southeast Delhi,police said. Constable Insaaf Khan invited the teenager to his flat in Pul Prahladpur on the pretext of some personal work on Friday evening and then raped her,police said. In his complaint,the girls father accused 21-year-old Khan of luring his daughter to the flat with an intention to outrage her modesty,police said. A senior police officer said: The girl went home and narrated her ordeal to her family members. The victims family approached the police after which she was sent for medical examination. Once the medical examination confirmed rape,a case was registered against Khan and he was arrested. Khan is from Bihar and posted at Jamia Nagar police station. He joined the force in 2010. Investigations have revealed the girl knew him after they met at a market about a year ago. Khan met the girl outside her school on Friday afternoon. He would often drop her home, a police officer said.
