Former Delhi health minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Thursday praised Railways Minister and BJP leader Ashwini Vaishnaw for ensuring clean toilets at the New Delhi railway station. In a video made from platform 1, which he posted on social media, Bharadwaj said, “I have multiple times called out the Railways ministry and its minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the huge number of train accidents which have occurred in the past, which is true (the numbers). However, this time, I used a washroom in the sleeper class waiting room, which was very clean and a sanitation worker was also present there.” Maintaining that the facility has been improved, he said “good things should be appreciated”. Speaking to The Indian Express, Bharadwaj said, “I was not appreciating any party but rather a contractor, a sanitation worker or a sweeper who might have kept the washroom so clean, they deserve to be appreciated.” Being a frequent train traveller, he said, “Clean washrooms are very difficult to find, but this one was different, it even had a sanitation inspector there.”
