Class XII student stabbed to death in West Delhi

A Class XII student was stabbed to death allegedly by his friend following an altercation in West Delhis Bawana area on Saturday evening.

The victim has been identified as Dinesh Kumar Singh (18). Police said the accused,Amit (18),fought with Dinesh over some money the former had borrowed from Dinesh and in a fit of rage Amit stabbed Dinesh. He was later arrested.

According to police,Dinesh was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The hospital authorities then informed the local police station.

Confirming the arrest,a police officer said,A case of murder was registered and we started looking for Amit who had gone into hiding by then. We managed to trace his whereabouts and arrested him. Further investigations are underway.

Police said Amit,who is a Class XII pass-out had gone on a trip to Manali along with Dinesh and a few other friends. During the trip,Amit had borrowed Rs 10,000 from Dinesh. When Dinesh demanded that Amit return his money,it enraged him and he stabbed Dinesh.
