CISF constable shoots herself dead at Delhi airport

A CISF head constable posted at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport shot herself dead inside a washroom at the airport on Friday morning while she was on duty, the Delhi Police said.

According to the police, a call was received about the incident around 8.45 pm. Upon reaching the spot, the police team found 37-year-old Kiran lying in the washroom at Terminal 3. No suicide note was recovered from the spot, police said.

“She had used her service pistol to shoot herself. A forensics team visited the spot and lifted exhibits,” Additional CP (IGI) Usha Rangnani said.

The body has been shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for postmortem examination.
