According to police, scratch marks were found on his wife Sita’s hands which strengthen police’s suspicion that the case is one of murder and suicide.

Their daughter Varanya, who had gone to Rajasthan for a trip with her friends, also gave a detailed statement to the police on Saturday.

She told police that when she last spoke to her mother around 12.15 am on Friday, everything everything seemed fine. Varanya said she called her mother again around 2.30 am,but got no response. She said she did not call again that night as she thought they may have gone to sleep.
