Boy held for shooting at man,theft

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested from Northeast Delhi for allegedly robbing a person after opening fire on him. The police said though the boy claims to be juvenile,they suspect him to be about 19 years of age.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested from Northeast Delhi for allegedly robbing a person after opening fire on him. The police said though the boy claims to be juvenile,they suspect him to be about 19 years of age.

He was arrested from Seelampur on Saturday night,the police said.

“On May 29,one Maya Ram,a resident of Tahirpur had complained that the boy and three of his friends surrounded him and his friend in Dilshad Garden area and demanded their valuables. When Ram resisted,the boy opened fire at him. The bullet hit Ram in the left shoulder,resulting in serious injuries. The accused fled after taking the mobile phones and wallets of the two,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) S S Yadav said.
