A 29-year-old businessman and his friend were allegedly thrashed by bouncers outside a club at a five-star hotel in New Delhi’s Janpath area.

The men allegedly got into a heated argument with the bouncers over entry into the club. A purported video of the incident shows the bouncers (in uniform) approaching a group of men. The two parties get into a fistfight and the bouncers are seen allegedly thrashing the men and punching and kicking the victim.

Singh told police he was outside with his friend while his wife was inside the club. Around 7-8 pm, he was trying to gain entry to the club when he was stopped. He alleged bouncers did not allow them as ‘stag’ entry wasn’t allowed and hurled abuses before he was beaten up with sticks and rods.  He said, “I called the police who then took me to the hospital. I sustained injuries all over my face… and legs.”
