In order to ascertain the genuineness of their trips outside Tihar to various hospitals, the Delhi High Court on Friday set up a board of Army doctors to examine the medical records of the Nitish Katara murder case convicts Vikas and Vishal Yadav.
A Bench of Justices Gita Mittal and V K Shali directed the Medical Superintendent of Research and Referral (R&R) Army Hospital to constitute a board of doctors and evaluate the medical records.
An independent committee is required to evaluate the medical records of both Vikas and Vishal to ascertain which medical visits were warranted and which were not, the court said, and sought a report from the committee within four weeks.
