Rejig in BJP: Delhi unit names 14 district presidents, 2 women on list
The rejig comes three months after the BJP defeated AAP to regain power in the Capital after nearly 27 years.

The BJP’s Delhi unit declared the names of 14 district presidents as part of the ongoing reshuffle of leadership roles being carried out by the party.
Of the names announced, three district presidents have retained their posts — Vijender Dhama from Mayur Vihar district; Chandrapal Bakshi from West Delhi; and Deepak Gauba from Shahdara district. Meanwhile, four other presidents have previously held the post and are in their second term.
Of the 14 names announced, two are women — Raj Sharma Gautam from Najafgarh, and Maya Bisht from South Delhi. “For the first time, two women have been elected as district presidents in the new team,” the Delhi BJP said in a statement.
These new office bearers were announced by Mahendra Nagpal, the organisational election officer of the Delhi BJP.

The party also announced 105 members of its state council. Its members include many of the party’s MLAs like Kapil Mishra, Kailash Gahlot, Kartar Singh Tanwar and former MPs, former MCD Mayor and party spokespersons.
The party had earlier appointed presidents of its 204 mandal-level units.
There are plans to appoint new state-level office bearers, party leaders said.
