A,B and C — this is how the BJP is grading each municipal ward in the city, that is set to go to polls soon.

In its fight in the municipal elections,BJP has begun analysing all the 272 wards and categorising them based on the development in the area. This exercise is aimed at determining the prominence of a ward, and based on the findings, the party will decide which candidate should be contested from there.

“Wards are being graded on the basis of development carried out by the councillor. The ward, which has best infrastructure,is Grade A,while those with an average development are in B category,” said Leader of the House,Subhash Arya. Apart from development works,socio-economic profile of residents in the ward is an important factor for choice of candidates.
