Where others found it hard to control the ball in muddy conditions as a consequence to a heavy downpour,Nigerian Ogbeide Austin had no worries wading through the field. In full control of the unfavourable conditions,he scored a brace among three goals to fashion Youngmen SCs 3-0 win over Shahdara FC in the DSA Senior Division League at the Ambedkar Stadium on Tuesday. Austin broke the shackles in the 11th minute,netting a cross from Onoriode Johnavah from the right flank. They doubled the score soon after as Johnavah found the target from a free kick in the 24th minute. And eight minutes later,Austin scored his second to settle the match. After dodging past two defenders,he curled a shot into the far post to make it three. Shahdara had a wonderful oppurtunity to pull one back in the 37th but winger Shaolin Singh scuffed a chance yards from the net. Despite dominating the second half,Youngmen SC failed to add to the score. Youngmen are setting pretty with 15 points from ten outings,while Shahdara has 10 points from nine matches. In the other match of the day,Ahbab FC edged Shastri FC 1-0 in a close encouter. It was end to end football,with attacks and counter attacks from both the teams. David scored the winner and the only goal in the match. Fed by a cross from Ram Singh,he shot past the goalkeeper to seal three points for Ahbab. Shastri FC failed to score despite mounting many attacks. Meanwhile,Ahbab custodian Sandeep Bisht was given a straight red for misbehaving with the referee. He had mouthed expletives,after the referee gave a free-kick. This is the second incident in a week since Nitesh of Shastri FC was penalised for the same.With the victory Ahbab have mustered 19 points from 11 matches,while Shastri have 13 points from 10 games so far.
