Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will leave for Bengaluru on Wednesday to receive treatment at a naturopathy centre for his chronic cough and high blood sugar levels. Officials said deputy CM Manish Sisodia will be in-charge in Kejriwal’s absence. Kejriwal will be gone for 10 days. “His sugar level has remained above 300 in the past 10 days. Doctors increased the insulin dose threefold and intake of other medicines by up to twofold but despite that, his cough has worsened and sugar level continued to remain on the higher side,” a source said. Incidentally, PM Narendra Modi had asked Kejriwal to consult a yoga therapist in Bengaluru for his persistent cough during Delhi Police’s ‘At Home’ function a couple of weeks ago.
