Two persons have been arrested by the CBI in connection with the alleged leak of question papers of nursing officer recruitment examination conducted by AIIMS Delhi earlier this month, officials said Friday. The CBI lodged an FIR after the institute received complaints from the candidates. Officials said a search operation was underway and more accused may be apprehended.
The CBI had booked Mohali-based Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology and a woman, Ritu, in connection with the leak of the NORCET-4 (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test) examination paper. “After registering an FIR on June 9, the agency conducted searches at five places, including Haryana, Chandigarh, Mohali and Delhi, on the premises of the accused and also at an examination centre in Mohali,” a CBI spokesperson said. The agency did not confirm the identity of the arrested persons.
“During searches and investigation, NVR (Network Video Recorder) containing CCTV footage, server laptops, CPUs of identified candidates, mobile phones and dubious TFTs were recovered,” the spokesperson said.
The examination was held on June 3. “On the day of the exam, social media was abuzz with screenshots of the question papers leading to speculations of paper leak. Screenshots of a candidate console appearing were getting viral on social media and all received screenshots have been checked,” the CBI FIR said.
