A 19-year-old college student has been identified and challaned by Delhi Metro officials for allegedly creating nuisance inside the metro premises, officers said on Sunday. A few days ago, a viral video from Karol Bagh Metro Station captured a group of boys putting their foot in between the train gates to prevent it from shutting. An officer said that one of the persons in the video was identified through CCTV camera footage and traced back to his house in Jahangirpuri. "He is a college student and he was traced from his house in Jahangirpuri and challaned Rs. 200 under Section 59 of The Delhi Metro Railway (Operation and Maintenance) Act, 2002, for creating nuisance inside the metro premises," the officer indicated. The incident took place earlier this week at Karol Bagh Metro Station somewhere in the afternoon, police added. "He has disclosed the name of another accomplice and he is being traced out," said the officer.
