Accountant shot at by 3 men while resisting robbery in Northwest Delhi
The incident took place in Northwest Delhi’s Netaji Subhash Place Monday night. No arrest has been made yet.

A 33-year-old accountant was allegedly shot in the legs by unidentified men who also robbed his cash bag with Rs 1 lakh. Police said the accused came on a bike and snatched the bag. When the victim resisted them, they fired at him.
The incident took place in Northwest Delhi’s Netaji Subhash Place Monday night. No arrest has been made yet.
The victim, Ritesh, works as an accountant with a firm in Netaji Subhash Place. Police said the complainant often carried cash for work. Around 9.30 pm, when Ritesh was riding his scooter from his firm to home, he was stopped near Saraswati Vihar.
“Three persons were following him for a while. They waylaid him and threatened him at gunpoint. The victim resisted the attack and a scuffle broke out. The accused fired at his legs,” said a senior police officer.
Police sources said the accused fired three rounds, two of which hit his legs. When police arrived, Ritesh was found lying injured at the spot. He was rushed to a hospital and his statement was recorded. A case of robbery was registered at Subhash Place police station.
Jitender Meena, DCP (Northwest), said, “We have formed multiple teams to crack the case. We are working on certain leads we have developed so far. We are looking at CCTVs and conducting an enquiry. The accused might have been known to the victim or staffers of his firm.”
