AAP has money for publicity, not RRTS: BJP hits out
"The Arvind Kejriwal government has funds for the liquor scam, his palatial home and for ads meant for its glorification but neither for the RRTS nor for work related to public welfare,” BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged

A day after the Supreme Court took exception to the Delhi government’s submission that it could not contribute to the upcoming Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) corridors connecting the capital with neighbouring states, claiming paucity of funds, the BJP attacked it over not spending funds on public welfare projects.
With the Supreme Court asking the AAP Delhi government to appraise it regarding how much it had spent on advertisements in the last three financial years, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia questioned why it had money for publicity but not the project. “… the Arvind Kejriwal government has funds for the liquor scam, his palatial home and for ads meant for its glorification but neither for the RRTS nor for work related to public welfare,” Bhatia alleged.
“This staunchly corrupt Arvind Kejriwal has no concern for the welfare of the people… when his corruption is caught, he spins a political narrative around it, but does not fulfill his responsibility when it comes to public good,” he also alleged.
On Monday, a bench of Justices S K Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia asked the NCT government to file an affidavit stating the details in two weeks. As per sources, the matter was with regard to Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut segment of the RRTS, where, out of the total project cost of Rs 30,274 crore, the Delhi government was supposed to give approximately Rs 1,180 crore. Of this, Rs 415 crore is yet to be released.
