BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda presided over a special event at the party’s national office on Saturday where 900 members of the Sikh community, along with those from the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, joined the party fold.
“BJP thanks you for joining (the party) to strengthen national unity and dedication, and welcomes all of you,” said Nadda.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts at recognising the contribution of the Sikh community and reaching out to them through various initiatives, Nadda said: “BJP is the only party that has worked to maintain the unity and integrity of the country, and your inclusion will further strengthen it.”
