Three men, who have been working in the Parliament complex for the last three months, were arrested by the CISF personnel on Wednesday for allegedly entering inside the complex after submitting forged Aadhaar cards. An FIR has been registered at Parliament Street police station and further investigation is underway. The complaint was filed by Inspector (CISF) Balmukund Thakur on June 4. In his complaint, he alleged that he was checking photo ID at iron gate no 3 of Parliament house when around 1.30 pm, assistant sub-inspector Anil Kumar detected three workers trying to get an entry on “casual entry pass”. They were identified as Kasim, Monis and Soyab. “After scrutiny, Kumar found that Monis and Kasim displayed the same Aadhaar card as Soyab after placing their individual pictures on it. They made these forged documents under a conspiracy and police should probe further,” Thakur alleged in his complaint. After catching them, the personnel made a call to the Delhi Police and informed them about the matter. “Police immediately rushed to the spot and all three were taken to Parliament Street police station for further questioning. During questioning, they disclosed that they are residents of Uttar Pradesh and had been working as construction labourers in the Parliament complex for the last three months. Their entry pass expired on June 4 and they asked the security personnel to issue them a new one. But Monis and Kasim were not carrying their Aadhaar cards, so they put their pictures on Soyab’s card for entry,” a senior police officer said. DCP (New Delhi district) Devesh Mahla said they have registered an FIR under IPC sections of 419 (cheating by imprisonment), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and 120B (criminal conspiracy). “After registering an FIR, we have arrested all the three men. Further investigations are in progress,” he said.
