The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Managing Committee (DSGMC) chief Paramjit Singh Sarna on Monday asked Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to come clean on issue of clemency to Devinderpal Singh Bhullar by withdrawing the affidavit submitted by Punjab government terming the convicted militant as a hardcore criminal and urging his early hanging.
Sarna said that instead of playing politics on the issue,Badal should rectify his misdeed and withdraw the letter written to Delhi jail authorities in which his government had refused to keep Bhullar in any Punjab jail. He said Bhullar has already submitted a plea asking to be shifted to a jail in Punjab as his old mother, who stays in the state,is ill cannot visit him in Delhi.
Then also Badal had said that Bhullar was a dreaded terrorist and shifting him to jail could be dangerous for the peace of the state, Sarna said.
