Will look into genuine demands: HUDA on houses for poor

With the BJP continuing its protest against demolitions that were carried out at Azad Colony in Panchkula,the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has assured that it will consider the genuine demands of the people and allot them houses under the economically weaker sections of society category.

HUDA Estate Officer (EO) Ashwani Sharma on Monday said requests from genuine people for allotment of houses will be considered. BJP district chief Vishal Seth and residents of Azad Colony called upon the EO on Monday,demanding that HUDA provides houses for the homeless residents.

“Within a time period of 15 days,HUDA has assured that the residents who have valid proof will be allotted houses,” a statement by BJP said. The party warned that in case the HUDA fails to fulfil the promise,it will be forced to launch a protest.
