At least half a dozen violent crimes involving loved ones as either victims or assailants have been reported in the Tricity over the past 15 months.

According to police records, four of the cases involved male victims, and suspects have been arrested in all but a few instances.

A police officer commented, “In most of these cases, the suspects had no prior involvement in criminal activities. The roles of relatives and friends only came under investigation when the police ruled out the possibility of robberies or professional rivalries.”
