‘Village on Wheels’ by Rlys to start tomorrow

Operated by IRCTC,the train will take the entourage on a 12 days journey that will start from Chandigarh on November 11 and return on November 22.

An affordable spiritual odyssey for the people of the Tricity will start on November 11 with ‘Village on Wheels’ starting its 12 days “Bharat Darshan”. Introduced as a plebeian version of ‘Palace on Wheels’-a luxury tourist train,it aims at providing affordable tour packages to the tourists with small budgets.

Operated by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Development Corporation (IRCTC),the train will take the entourage on a 12 days journey that will start from Chandigarh on November 11 and return on November 22.

Passengers will be charged Rs 6,720 for the tour. Some of the places which the tourists will get to visit are Tirupati Balaji in Reningunta,Kanchi Kamakshi Temple in Kanchipuram,Ramnath Temple in Rameshwaram,Meenakshi temple in Madurai,Padamnabham Temple in Thiruvanathapuram,Mallikarjun Temple in Kurnool along with sight seeing in Kanyakumari.

The next trip for the same destinations will be available from December 9 to 20.
