UP man held for kidnapping,raping 13-year-old girl

Officials said that the rape case was registered after a complaint by the parents of the girl that she was taken by the accused to his hometown and later raped. Earlier a case of kidnapping was registered at the Sector 5 police station on March 19 and subsequently a police team was dispatched to UP to arrest the accused.

Police officials said that Surinder,who works as a labourer,had rented out an accomodation at the house of the girl. He had been living with the family for 4-5 months and one morning,she was found missing from her house. Subsequently,searches were made by them,but the girl could not be traced. The parents made a complaint to the Sector 5 police station that the girl was missing from their house and has been kidnapped by their tenant.

A police party from the Sector 5 police station was dispatched to UP from where the girl was recovered. The girl was rescued from a Nari Niketan at UP,police said,adding that she has in her statement to the police noted that she was being raped repeatedly by the boy. The girl was kidnapped by the boy with the lure of marriage and was raped by him. When the parents of the boy came to know that the girl was a minor and their son had kidnapped her on the ruse of marriage and later raped her they handed her over to a Nari Niketan at UP.

Station house officer (SHO) of Sector 5 police station,Naveen Sandhu,said,“Earlier we had registered a case of kidnapping and after we found during investigations that the girl was raped we have added a section of rape today.”

The girl,he said,was taken to the Sector 6 government hospital where the medical test was being done. According to police the girl has stated that she was being raped repeatedly by the boy at her residence in the city and later they moved in a train to his hometown where also she was subjected to rape. The girl,police said,has been studying in class IV in the city.
