The Carmel Ex-Students Association (CESA) will organise the first inter-school treasure hunt competition at their alma mater in Sector 9 on Saturday.
The event is open to all schools of the city and surrounding areas.
The treasure hunt,a first-of-its-kind in the city,will be a general knowledge-based event and is being organised to provide a platform to students to test their wits against each other. The event has been conceptualised and designed in a manner to enhance knowledge,encourage fitness and also provide fun and entertainment to the children.
As per the game plan,students will have to crack the first clue,submit their answer at the correct station and then obtain the second clue.
In all,a total of 15 clues will have to be solved within a time limit of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each team can have a maximum of 4 members. There is,however,no restriction on the number of entries from a particular school. The teams can register themselves on-the-spot at the school.
The winning teams will be given cash prizes of Rs 4,000,3,000,2,000 and 1,000 respectively. There will be 4 consolation prizes of Rs 500 each in addition to token prizes that will be given to teams at every station for a correct answer.
