Three more arrested for August shootout in Jhajjar

The Jhajjar police on Wednesday arrested three village Manthaudi resident as part of the ongoing investigations into the August shootout at Jhajjar-Bahadurgarh road,which left four persons dead.

Ramchander,who was arrested on charges of hatching the conspiracy,is elder brother of the prime accused Kartar Singh,who is on the run.

Ramchander’s accomplices Om Prakash and Satyawan — residents of the same village — were also arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy.

So far,the Jhajjar police have arrested six persons on charges hatching the conspiracy of the shootout and harbouring the shooters,who are still at large.

The Haryana Police had even announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for the arrest of each of the eight shooters.

Village Manthaudi in Jhajjar district has emerged as a den of criminals,as it houses two gangs who have been nursing enmity against each other for the last two decades.

At least 29 people from both sides have been killed in the last 18 years and over a 100 residents of the village are facing murder charges.
